Falling Back into Fitness

Updated: Nov 21, 2019

It is that time of year again, pumpkin spice lattes and muffins are back in the stores, kids are back to school and things are starting to cool down, except in Florida of course. After Labor Day is over the feel of fall is here, but us Floridians know the weather won’t change until late October. With the first day of Autumn officially on September 23rd, many of us are already looking to get back into a workout routine as we make the transition away from summer.

But where to start? Sometimes it feels like a sluggish return as the excitement to get back an exercise habit is lost with bathing suit season now behind us and with seasonal treats paving the way through the holidays ahead. Perhaps it’s more important now than ever to keep moving.

Enjoy the changing weather by getting into a fresh routine. As things start to cool down, maybe wake up a little earlier for the fresh morning jog or take a walk around the neighborhood for some fresh evening air after dinner.

Pick one new healthy habit you can start this week. Change is constant, so putting your focus into a positive new activity or healthy habit will help keep your goals in sight to get back in gear.
